11-Target NVMe Duplicator - Settings - Erase

Erase Settings allows you the ability to set customer erase settings as well as number of cycles performed during the wipe process.

Write 0

Overwrite all addressable locations with binary zeroes.

Disabled

The duplicator will not overwrite all addressable locations with binary zeroes.

Enabled

The duplicator will will overwrite all addressable locations with binary zeroes. Note: This is the Default setting.

Write 1

Overwrite all addressable locations with binary ones.

Disabled

The duplicator will not overwrite all addressable locations with binary ones. Note: This is the Default setting.

Enabled

The duplicator will will overwrite all addressable locations with binary ones.

Write random Pattern

Overwrite all addressable locations with a random bit pattern.

Disabled

The duplicator will not overwrite all addressable locations with a random bit pattern. Note: This is the Default setting.

Enabled

Compare

Automatically compare data on connected drives after an erase is performed.

Disabled

The duplicator will not perform a compare process after the erase is completed. Note: This is the Default setting.

Enabled

The duplicator will perform a compare process after the erase is completed.

Verify

Verify the final overwrite pass after an erase is performed.

Disabled

The duplicator will not perform a verify process after the erase is completed. Note: This is the Default setting.

Buffer Size

Buffer Size refers to the amount of data moved in a single operation when an ATA command is issued. In certain situations, adjusting the data transfer length may help resolve some compatibility issues. By default this is set to 2M however it can be set to 64K, 128K, 1M, 2M, or 16M.

Repeat

Select the number of cycles an erase or wipe function is performed. The default setting is 1 however it can be changed up to 7.
