Kanguru Warranty Overview

Coverage: Kanguru Solutions warrants product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period (see specific product warranty for terms). This non-transferable, limited warranty is only to the first end-user Purchaser. All product warranties begin on the date of purchase. If the product proves defective during this warranty period, the customer may contact Kanguru Solutions to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Customers located outside of North America should contact the distributor for their region to obtain an RMA#. Extended warranties are available for purchase on select products.

Exclusions: Excluded is damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, exposure of media to excess magnetic fields, or external environmental causes. Warranty does not apply if, in the judgment of Kanguru Solutions, the product fails due to damage from handling, accident, abuse, misuse, or if it has been used in a manner not conforming to the product’s instructions, has been modified in any way, or the warranty labels have been removed. Clearance items may not carry full warranty. Kanguru Solutions is not responsible for any damages incurred in the shipping process.

Remedies: The customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for a covered defect is repair or replacement of the defective product, at Kanguru Solutions’ sole option and expense. Any claims for loss or damage during shipping must be made to the carrier directly. Claims for shipping errors should be reported to the distributor or reseller within three (3) working days of receipt of merchandise.

The above is Kanguru Solution's entire obligation to you under this warranty. IN NO EVENT SHALL KANGURU SOLUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, EVEN IF KANGURU SOLUTIONS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. In no event shall Kanguru Solution's liability exceed the original purchase price of the drive or media disk in question. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply. 

RMA Service for Products Outside of the Warranty Period

A customer can still receive repair service after the warranty expires* by contacting Kanguru Solutions to obtain an RMA#. Customers will be responsible for paying shipping to and from Kanguru Solutions’ service center, the cost of any parts replaced and potentially a service fee (see specific product warranty for service fees).


* Due to design and/or security implementations, it may not be possible to support post-warranty RMA requests on some USB flash drive units.

Return Policy for Hardware

Return Policy

0-30 Days: Kanguru Solutions offers a 30 day money back guarantee on all products excluding products in the Duplicator line (HDD/SSD, NVMe, DVD/BluRay, and USB), clearance items, custom orders and high-volume purchases. All return for refund requests must be submitted through the company that sold the item, whether it was direct from Kanguru or through one of Kanguru’s authorized resellers. All returns must be accompanied by an RMA number and copy of receipt or packing slip. No money is returned or credited until the product is received by either Kanguru Solutions or the authorized reseller that the item was originally purchased from. All shipping costs incurred from a return shipment are the sole responsibility of the customer. RMA numbers can be obtained by contacting Kanguru Solutions or the authorized reseller that the item was originally purchased from. RMA numbers expire after 14 days.

Beyond 30 Days: Kanguru Solutions DOES NOT offer money back once the initial 30 day period has expired. All returns beyond 30 days are governed by the standard warranty policy. 

 

RMA Shipping for Customers Located within the US or Canada

A customer who has obtained an RMA# from Kanguru can send their defective unit to Kanguru Solutions’ service center for repairs or replacement as required. For RMA repair/replacement scenarios, Kanguru pays for shipping both ways by FEDEX Ground (US) or FEDEX Ground (Canada) within 30 days of order.  After 30 days, but within the warranty period, Kanguru pays for return shipping back to the customer by FEDEX Ground (US) or FEDEX Ground (Canada). After the warranty period the customer pays for shipping both ways. 

Kanguru offers a variety of expedited shipping methods to our customers at an additional cost:

Each shipping option varies in price depending on size and weight of product and destination.
Kanguru Solutions may support shipping on customer accounts, or other methods, depending on the situation. Kanguru reserves the right to facilitate exchanges and logistics through its distribution and reseller network to streamline processes.

RMA Shipping for Customers Located Outside of North America

If the product proves defective during this warranty period, the customer must contact the distributor for their region in order to obtain an RMA#. A customer who has obtained an RMA# can send their defective unit back to the distributor for their region, who will then exchange the defective unit with one from stock.

If there is no authorized distributor in the customer’s country, the customer should contact Kanguru Solutions for instructions as to whether an alternate distributor can be appointed or if their defective product must be returned to Kanguru Solutions’ service facility located in Millis, Massachusetts in the US.

USB Flash Drive Warranty Information

  • 3 Year Limited Warranty on Kanguru Flash Drives including most Defender flash drives*

Kanguru Solutions guarantees that this product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for 3 years from the date of purchase. This product carries a 3 year limited** warranty.

Kanguru Solutions guarantees that every Kanguru Hard Drive or Optical Drive Duplicator will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from the date of purchase. This product carries a 1 year limited* warranty on the case, controller and all internal components. If the product proves defective during this warranty period, the customer must contact Kanguru Solutions and obtain an RMA#. Customers will be responsible for paying shipping to Kanguru Solutions’ service facility located in Millis, Massachusetts in the US.


* If a customer wants to receive RMA service after the warranty expires, they must contact Kanguru Solutions and obtain an RMA#. Customers will be responsible for paying shipping to and from Kanguru Solutions’ service facility located in Millis, Massachusetts in the US, a $30 service fee as well as the cost of any parts replaced.

** Extended Warranties for Select Duplicators

Extended warranties are available in 1 and 2 year periods and are added onto Kanguru Solutions’ original warranty. Extended warranties are only available to customers located in the US and Canada.

1. Year Extended Warranty

Get an extra year of warranty added to the Kanguru Duplicator's original warranty package. While covered under warranty, Kanguru Solutions will furnish parts and labor services required to maintain the proper operating condition for the Kanguru Duplicator. Warranty covers against manufacturer defects only.
The extended warranty plan will go into effect immediately following the completion of the original manufacturer’s warranty period of one year. The extended warranty must be purchased within 60 days of the original purchase.

2-Year Extended Warranty

Get an extra two years of warranty added to the Kanguru Duplicator's original warranty package.
