The Benefits of Using iStorage Encrypted PIN Pad Devices

iStorage is a leading provider offering pending FIPS 140-3, Level 3 Certified, hardware encrypted, PIN authenticated drives for meeting the highest Government security standards. In addition, FIPS 140-2 Level 2/3, NCSC CPA, NLNCSA BSPA and NATO Restricted level PIN pad devices, as well as TAA Compliance, provide high-level data protection for public sector organizations.

iStorage PIN authenticated devices offer keypads covered by a layer of polymer coating that protects the keys and hides key usage to avoid tipping off a potential hacker to commonly used keys. Additionally several models offer backlit keypads that can be turned on/off, making the keys visible in low light conditions.

Several iStorage models offer a variety of encryption modes that are user selectable. Beginning with the default AES-XTS 256-bit default mode, iStorage uses patented technology with optional AES-ECB 256-bit and AES-CBC 256-bit modes.

Many iStorage encrypted devices are cross-platform compatible with any device using a USB port. This includes MS Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Linux, Android, Chrome, Thin Clients, Zero, Clients, Embedded Systems, Citrix, VMware, DVR’s, Medical Equipment, Printers, Scanners, CCTV and more.

Several iStorage encrypted PIN pad drives are engineered to provide tamper-proof security. Accessing its components requires physically breaking the enclosure, clearly indicating any tampering attempts. In addition, every component of the drive is enveloped in a layer of highly durable epoxy resin, rendering it virtually impossible to remove without inflicting irreversible damage to the components.
